title fights come into it at all?

hmmm, can't say I agree with that but it's your decision, not mine.

Under your current system a win is simply counted as a win accross the board, this is a very simplistic way of ranking fighters and in many cases (not just Hardwick's by a long way) it just does not do fighters justice. In many cases a fighter must string together a spat of good wins against top contenders to work themselves into the position for a title fight, a title fight is considered by almost everyone I know as a career high point, but your system does not take this into account. Under your system, it would only take a handful more wins for Father TIme for example and he will go above fighters like Featherfists for example. Now, do you really need me to explain the difference in greatness between Father TIme and Featherfists?

And THAT is why the system in its current form is flawed, and THAT is why title fights SHOULD be given extra merit regardless of whether those title fights were successful or not. Like I said though, your Hall of Fame, your rules, but you wanted constructive criticism so there it is.

Fine, I understand that, so what you must do is look at it more subjectively rather than trying to let the computer decide everything, this is exactly the thing that makes Boxrec rankings the joke that they are. If you see a fighter who clearly doesn't belong then just remove him, but I do believe that title fights (roughly 70% of the time) should be considered.

And as for the getting laid thing, I'm not sure where that came from, I'm just offering you the criticism that you asked for, I don't see why you needed to flame me. If you have the workings of the site set in stone and care not for outside opinion then don't ask for it, doesn't bother me either way.

It's my new connection, it's really intermitent, I revert to the slower but more stable 56k connection from time to time, that's probably when you have seen me. MSN has been bothering me since I changed from 2000 to XP as well, I never know when I've logged on, the dam thing seems to run all by itself.
